Taylor Heanue

SOCKET's organist and founder Taylor Heanue lays down bass lines with his left hand while simultaneously layering chords or improvising solos with his right. The band's principal songwriter, Heanue leads the charge from the helm of a one-of-a-kind Hammond B3 "chop" custom built by Bob Schleicher. A self-described "vintage keyboard geek," he also enjoys milking the classic tones of the clavinet, Wurlitzer, and Rhodes, and tweaking his space-age array of synths and other effects. Taylor's other performance credits include stints with ALBINO!, Sila and the Afrofunk Experience, Bohemian Knuckle Boogie, and he often appears with the Smokedaddies. Don't get too friendly with him at a show or he might ask you to help haul some really heavy gear...
